GROWTH MINDSET IN MATHS
'YES I CAN!'
Our four steps to success are:
Step 1: Do not accept anyone saying 'It's OK I was never good at maths', 'Don't worry I was never good at Maths' , ' I don't like Maths', or equivalent
Step 2: Stress to every pupil that they can learn and be successful in mathematics.
Step 3: Making mistakes is a necessary part of learning.
Step 4: Success comes from hard work and trying different approaches.
When talking about maths encourage a 'Yes I Can' attitude in your child. Emcourage them to think about the power of 'YET'. " I may not be able to do it YET, but I will be able to do it soon if I work hard and try my best."
