Summer in Year 4
What a strange, disjointed first half term - only four weeks with missing days here and there! It seems like we have rushed bits and bobs! However, we haven't half been busy! Life Cycles, Anglo-Saxons, Float and caterpillars have taken over our waking hours!
Anglo-Saxons
We have only just started looking at life in Anglo-Saxon times, with a little bit of time spent on some mapwork, looking at where the invaders came from and where they settled. We have found out a little about Runes - making some of our own runestone from clay. Our Inspire workshop was so much fun - with parents joining us to make rune-embroidered bags.
